Deep Roots
Langley Is Where We're Most Established
Langley and Chilliwack are the two markets where North Built Construction has completed the most work since founding in 2020.
In Langley, that means we have established relationships with suppliers, a core group of trades who work the area regularly, and familiarity with both municipal building departments: the Township of Langley and the City of Langley.
When we start a project in Langley, we're not figuring out the local landscape as we go. We know the permit offices, we know which trades to call for which scope, and we know how projects in this area tend to run. That translates directly to fewer delays and fewer surprises for the homeowner.
A Local Construction Company
Not a National Chain
When people in Langley search for construction companies, they often end up comparing a few local outfits against regional or national operations that have an office somewhere in Metro Vancouver. There's a real difference. North Built Construction is a Langley-area construction company. Not a franchise. Not a large general contracting operation running projects from a head office in Vancouver.
We believe every project benefits from specialized expertise. Greg guides you through the initial planning, design and budgeting. Once construction is underway, your dedicated Project Manager takes the lead, coordinating schedules, managing trades, ensuring quality and keeping you informed every step of the way. For homeowners and commercial clients in Langley, that means one team working together from concept to completion, with skin in the game on every project. As one of the construction companies in Langley BC that has operated continuously since 2020, we've built a local reputation worth protecting. Every project we deliver here adds to that, or costs us. That's the accountability that comes with being a genuinely local operation.
Greg leads the planning. Your Project Manager leads the build. One team accountable for the result.

Township and City of Langley
We Work in Both
The Township and the City are two separate municipalities with their own building departments, and we've dealt with both. Generally speaking, both are relatively straightforward to work with on permits compared to Vancouver. That's one of the real advantages of building in this part of the Fraser Valley: the process doesn't drag out the way it does on the west side of Metro Vancouver.
Fort Langley, which falls within the Township, is a neighborhood we know well. It's an older community with larger lots and established homes, exactly the type of area where renovation and addition work makes a lot of sense. The homes are worth investing in, and the lots give you room to actually work efficiently.
What We Build in Langley
Custom Homes
In Langley's suburban and semi-rural areas, we see more custom home activity. There's land available and the permitting process doesn't punish you the way it does closer to Vancouver.
Renovations & Additions
In the denser areas, we do more renovations and additions, particularly full interiors and kitchens where the goal is to modernize a home without moving. Our home renovation services in Langley cover kitchens, bathrooms, full interiors, basement development, and additions.
Commercial TIs
We work with owners who've purchased a unit in a tilt-up or older commercial building and need it built out for their business: office layouts, mezzanine floors, new partitioning. We bring in the required design professionals and engineers, facilitate the permit, and get it done.
The Planning Process
Whether it's a custom home or a renovation, the process starts the same way: a free site visit, a preliminary budget, and then a real pre-construction phase where we get as close to 100% of the decisions made as possible before anything starts. Selections, layout, trades, timeline: all of it gets worked through before we break ground or open a wall.
The most common complaint I hear from people who've had a bad experience with a contractor is that everything moved too fast at the start and not fast enough after. Decisions get pushed to mid-project, where they cost more and take longer. We front-load that work so the build phase can actually run efficiently.
Travellers Home Warranty on New Builds
For custom homes in Langley, every new build we deliver is covered under Travellers Home Warranty: the 2/5/10-year coverage recognized by BC Housing's Homeowner Protection Office. Two years for general defects, five years for the building envelope, ten years for structural.
No claims in over 30 years across our team's work history. That reflects the trades vetting process, the attention to detail during construction, and the discipline to get things right at the stages that matter for long-term performance.
